Changing Plan
I am really excited about the changes made to my research action plan. I am now looking into comparing student performance with kids that are involved in athletics and ones that simply don't participate in any extra-curricular activities.

Research Plan
Now that I have selected a subject to research, I am getting an even better perspective for action research. I will be looking into the impact PBIS programs have on campuses. Our cammpus needs a change with our system of discipline. PBIS offers a positive approach that has proven to be effective on many campuses. If we can change our culture, problems should decrease, and student moral and performance should be on the rise. I look forward to researching these results.

More Action Research
This week has given me a new perspective with my own action research project. I am looking to specifically research other programs and methods towards discipline within schools and how they affect student performance, climate, and culture. Look forward to what I may find.

Future Blogging
The use of blogging is the wave of the future to communicate and collaborate with colleagues at a rapid rate. Time is so dear to us all as educators. The ability to professionally work with one another with information and refection to a wide range of readers can only be benefitial to our never ending quest for improvements in this chosen field.
Action Research
I have learned through my readings this week that action research is so much different then actual traditional research. This type of research differs significantly from traditional educational research because the administrator poses the questions and does the research on situations that are familiar to them. They can make changes in their practices after collecting data and refecting from previous decisions that leaders or administrators have made. I realize that action research is not only necessary as an administrator, but anyone in the education field. Teachers need action research as they collect data and reflect over their overall results in the classroom. Are we achieving our maximum potential in the classroom? How is our classroom management as an instructor? Are we using our time wisely? Action research is a necessary tool that answers these questions. As a coach, action research is also vital when refecting over performance. I have made many mistakes as a teacher and a coach and have never spent the time to reflect and use action research to improve my own performance. As a future administrator, it will be even more important that I can use this tool to continue growth and improvements for the benefits to all that are affected.
